The type of album that I can listen
to over and over again. And when I crank up the volume (this album was
made for cranking the volume up; it has an undercurrent of energy that
is barely reigned in, chomping at the bit to get loose); drums, synths,
bass, and guitar blend into a cohesive unit. Though it seems to me that
the guitar is just used as an accent piece; main driving force for teh
album is Nick Rhodes's synths, and Roger's drum playing puntuates the beat
of the synth blasts. "Shadows On Your Side" reminds me of the gothic, a
slightly goth feel to it (in lyrics and music). I think of dark castles
and the show "Dark Shadows."
